Please get out of your own way...
Outside obstacles like disappointments, emotions, and situations can steer you away from your long-term goal of a quality life emotionally, physically and spiritually. Fitness and healthy eating always starts with your head. Yes, there are a lot of things in life we cannot control; but there are also a lot of things we can control. Life is hard at times; but with a great attitude, mindset, a plan, living day-by-day, life is worth living and fighting for!
Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music sang:
"When the bee stings, when the dog bites, when I'm feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feel so bad."
My husband, Rick, has a verse he tries to live by:
"Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving..." Psalms 50:14
Choosing to be thankful isn't easy; but it's uplifting in so many ways. So get out of your own way! Use your head...and your heart will follow right along!
